Leather lettering label, gilt; and blocked on the upper board: "Chancery Library". With simple blind rules on the edges of the boards. Originally published in 1655 as "Reports of Speciall Cases Touching Several Customs and Liberties of the City of London." Of the two varieties recorded by Wing, this is the variety with line 2 of the imprint ending with "St." and with the "2" of signature mark "A2" under the "te" of "often". The annexed report on ancient customs has its own title page, but the pagination is continuous. The pagination is interrupted after p. 32 for a report of the Case concerning the Prisage of Wine.
