Spines in six compartments, intricately gilt, with red and brown lettering labels, gilt. Traces of wear at edges and hinges, Volume 2 has spine crease with a small loss to gilt; Volume 1 appears to have been expertly recased at an early date (the evidence for this being that it is now cased and the endpapers are slightly different from Volume 2, which has a tight spine).
