4to. x,30,33-74,73-252pp. Engraved title page, folding frontispiece, and 26 plates, all hand-tinted in sepia. Contemporary half leather, spine simply ruled in gilt; marbled paper boards. The cancel leaf C8 (pp.31-32) is usually lacking and was removed because of a revision to Canto I, there being no loss of text; minor pagination duplication at 73-74. Boards worn at edges and rubbed, with a neat repair to the upper hinge; frontispiece reinforced at the fold; else a very good copy. This copy is unusual in that the plates are tinted, not colored. Tooley 412.
