First edition, described as the 'Collectors Limited Edition'. 8vo. (x),9-173,(iii)pp. Brown leatherette blocked in gilt. A fine copy in printed cloth slipcase, likewise fine. This is one of an unspecified number of copies bearing the signatures of all twelve of the 1966 NCAA Champions as well as that of their coach, Don Haskins. The story of the team that broke the color line in college athletics. Signed copies are very scarce. Basis for the movie 'Glory Road' with Josh Lucas & Jon Voight. In addition to the text of the trade edition (173pp.) there is an additional leaf thanking Joe Gomez for his help in obtaining the signatures of all team members and their coach. The signatures are bound between pp. (iv) and (v) and contain the following signatures: Jerry Armstrong, Orsten Artis, Louis Baudoin, Willie Cager, Harry Flournoy, Bobby Joe Hill (d. 2002), David Lattin, Dick Myers, David Palacio, Togo Railey, Nevil Shed, Willie Worsley and Coach Don Haskins.
