Bound book of 54 pieces of sheet music for piano dated between 1847 and 1866. Folio. Quarter leather, paper boards, leather lettering piece on the upper board, gilt., with the name of the former owner for whom these were bound: Ellie M. Hunter. Rebacked in green leather. Most of the pieces have contemporary music store stamps on the cover page, light soil, especially where the pages have been turned, some roughness at the edges and a few pieces with closed marginal tears', but the overall condition is very good. Of interest are early editions of Beautiful Dreamer and I Wish I Was in Dixies Land, and first editions of Where Has Lula Gone, Lorena and Richmond on the James. The last title is noteworthy as it bears a Confederate imprint (Louisville) as well as a Union imprint (pre-fire Chicago).
