Illustrated throughout, with the title page featuring a witch on her broom with her can holding on behind. Upper board shows two rosy-cheeked children, on in beach attire the other as a baker holding a plate of buns.

Boards lightly soiled and with traces of wear at the edges, else near fine with the illustration on the upper board bright; interior fine and bright. Rare. One copy only located in OCLC Osborne. Sadly, the talented illustrator is uncredited; and the choice of a witch on her broom instead of Mother Goose on her goose for the title page is different at the very least.

We have dated this ca. 1920 as that was the year McLoughlin Bros moved form NY to Springfield (the OCLC records, though, dates this title from the 1890's.
