London: George R. Harrap & Company, . First edition. Fine. 4to. . (iv), 157, (3)pp. Beige cloth blocked on the upper board in a design in colors by the illustrator; black spine title. Top edge gilt. Color printed endpapers. Four pp. of color frontismatter; full page color plates and numerous line drawings and decorations printed in either black or brown. Decorative initials.
A fine, bright copy, with a neat inscription on the frontispiece: "Maureen, with love, Sr. C."
In the scarce dustwrapper. It is darkened on the spine and has small chips at the spine tipis and on the rear edges, else this is a very good and quite presentable jacket.
The tragic romance of Tristram and Isoude is beautifully captured in Paul's lush illustrations. Notable for the decorative initials in Celtic style.
