Letter on Victoria Hotel, Chicago, stationery, dated May 25, 1905, and signed, "Most Sincerely, Dustin Farnum". The letter thanks a fan for the gift of a handkerchief. Accompanied by a manila card, 2 inches by 3 inches, signed "Sincerely, Dustin Farnum, 1905". Both are enclosed in an envelope addressed to a fan, franked with a 2 cent stamp and postmarked Chicago, 1905. Dustin Farnum (1874-1929) was an American singer, dancer and actor. 1911 found him playing in 'The Squaw Man' on stage, and he went on to star in De Mille's 1914 silent film "The Squaw Man', which has the distinction of being considered the first feature length movie filmed in Hollywood. The letter has been folded into thirds else is in fine condition the card is fine as well. The enveloped is roughly opened and lacks its flap.
