New York: Young Scott Books, (1970). Illustrated by John Houser. First edition, first printing. Hardcover. 8vo. 248,(4),pp. Beige textured paper boards, printed in dark brown on the spine with with a lizard vignette on the upper board. A superb copy in the reinforced binding which, so far as we can determine, is the only binding issued. The dustwrapper has a several closed marginal tears (no loss), else is it is in very good condition; it is not price-clipped, nor is the spine sunned as is usually the case.
Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "For Joe Martinez".
He-Who-Runs-Far takes place on what was then the Papago Reservation in southern Arizona, the story of Pablo Red Deer, who had to learn the white man's language and magic to help his tribe. A wonderful read. This is Fredericksen's first fork of friction. Fine / Very good. Item #19527
