These three cards constitute the King Arthur series. A Minstrel's Story covers the Age of Chivalry; King Arthur and His Knights recalls an excerpt from Tennyson on the obverse and a biography of Arthur on the reverse; Visions of King Arthur is a group of pupil activities related to the Arthurian stories.
These cards date from about 1930 and were distributed by the New York Schools system as a teaching aid for various subjects. The obverse tells the story, and the reverse gives explanations for the teacher and suggestions on activates for the classroom related to the story.
These cards are undated, however we have seen a card memorializing the 1929 voyage f the Graf Zeppelin, which was retired in the late 1930's.
Margaret Ely Webb was a painter, illustrator, art teacher and writer. Aside from her textbooks, she provided illustrations for this teaching card series as well as several children's books published in the early part of the 20th century.
