n.p. ATchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, 1903. Designs by A. S. Covey. First edition. Hardcover. First edition (styled '15th thousand').12mo. 223 pp. Illus. from photographs and from drawings by A. S. Covey. Bibliography.
Scarce publisher's binding of yellow cloth printed in black and red on the boards, duplicating the design by A. S. Covey on the wrappers, which are bound in.
Binding soiled and worn at edges; front endpapers chipped and worn at inner hinges, a few stains form use. A good copy.
With the card of John J. Byrme pasted onto the front pastedown, Byrne was the General Passenger Agent for AT&SF in Los Angeles until 1922. There is an additional signature on the card, L. Snyder, whom we have been unable to identify. The binding suggests that this was a special edition, using the original first editon wraps, issued to AT&SF agents.
