All edges gilt. Illustrated with eight full page color plates as well as numerous black and white full page plates. Trace of wear to the corners and edges else a near fine copy.
Five of the color plates and seventeen of the black and white plates refer to the story of King Arthur. Of the 19 tales contained, 14 of them refer to the Arthurian tale. The remainder include Robin Hood, Grettir the Strong, WIlliam Short Nose, and Wayland the Smith.
