Fifth printing of this prehispanic Aztec manuscript, 16 c 16 inches closed, but when opened, nearly 40 feet, on the same scale as the original. Printed in full color. One of 1000 copies. Laid in loose in the publisher's folder: leather spine titled in blind, linen boards, the upper board with a gilt vignette based on the manuscxript. Ribbon ties.
A near fine copy. The paper inner hinges of the folder have some cracking, and there are a couple of spots of soil, else near fine as well.
This is a facsimile of the Codex Barbonicus, a manuscript written by Azrtec priests before or shortly after the arrival of the Spaniards (there is some disagreement among scholars as to its exact date).
