Illustrated throughout with Dmitry's linocuts taken directly from the blocks and enhanced with word fragments printed in color from wooden type. The text is printed in deep red, with the original Old Irish stanzas each followed by a new English translation. One of 24 numbered copies signed by the artist and the translator.
Pangúr Ban is a white cat, the companion of an Irish monk who wrote this poem in the ninth century. It is one of the oldest surviving examples of Old Irish. This artist book superbly recounts the events in the poem.
