Dark gray cloth with hooded figure and cat in cloth color with stamped white outlines on gold background, figure seated at light green table with playing cards in white with black and red markings, the figure's nose poking out of the hood stamped in peach, the cat's eyes stamped in green and red, title stamped in red, all within red single border, title and publisher stamped in gold on spine with repeated cat's head in white, green and red, top edge gilt. Light rubbing else a very good copy.
Fortune telling with cards: a work that was supposedly written in 1735 by Robert Antrobus and then edited and republished in 1896 by E. Irenaeus Stevenson. A literary hoax. Rare.
