Oblong folio. Leather spine and corners, violet cloth in a pebble grain boards. Nicely rebacked, boards faded, edges and corners worn. Still presentable.
Guarded page within contain: 28 albumen photographs, and 2 collotype olates for a total of 30. They range in size from approximately 8xvy 10 inches to 8 x 11 inches. A couple of photographs have corner creases, but the majority are in very good condition.
Photographers include: Verlag von Oscar Kramer, Austrian, 1835-1892; Carlo Naya, Venice, 1816-1882; Jean Gilleta, Monaco & Nice, 1856-1930; Stengel & Markert, Dresden; and J. V. Vøringfos, Norway.
One side of the album contains scenes from Europe: Monaco, Genoa, Vienna. The other side contains photographs of mostly Venetian art as well as pictures of Venice, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Separating the two sections are unused pages.
