Folio. Unpaginated. Black cloth spine, printed label, marbled paper boards, black endpapers. Illustrated by Elfriede Abbe with woodcut illustrations. One of 150 numbered copies signed by the illustrator; this is number 49. Light wear to the edges and the cloth else a fine copy.
Although Browning published her first translation of Prometheus Bound in 1833, twenty years later she completed a second version which she preferred. It is that version which was used as the text for this edition.
