They are lightly soiled and chipped along the edges with a couple of closed marginal tears, but give a very good appearance. Scarce in dustwrappers.
Constance Garnett was an English translator of nineteenth-century Russian literature. She was the first English translator of many Russian works, and, altogether, she translated 71 volumes of Russian literature, many of which are still in print today. This title is the first American edition of her translation.
