8vo. (16pp.) Stiff stapled wraps. Includes a color facsimile of the eight page pamphlet printed in Lubeck around 1492 by Matthaeus Brandis. Introduction by James Owens. In 1492, twenty seven Jews of Mecklenberg were burnt at the stake in Sternberg on a charge of desecration of the host. That same year, or shortly thereafter, Brandis issued a pamphlet telling the tale. A complex woodcut graced the first page; the text is in a combination of Low German and Latin. This is a color facsimile of that pamphlet, bound with a short introduction in English. The original incunable is considered lost in WWII. One of 100 numbered copies. New.
