Illustrated throughout. Even though the standard references call for 3112 plates (basaed on the number of the final plate), Streeter notes (p. 1352) that there are in reality 308 plates plus the frontispiece. This copy has 307 plates, lackinh plate 252, and not counting the plates that are intentionally lacking.
First isues, with "Frederick" on p. 104.
Cloth is well worn with hinge repairs and nearly perished paper labels; three endpapers have been replaced or reset; Vol. II lacks the rear free endpaper. Only a good set.
