Early half calf, spines in 5 compartments tooled in blind, new leather lettering labels, gilt, marbled paper boards in nonpareil pattern. Nearly all hinges have been neatly mended; ther is light rubbing and scuggind; else a very good copy.
French satirical carnivalesque satire in a mixture of prose, verse, and dialogue. It is a work of political propaganda focused on undermining the Catholic League and Spanish pretensions, as well as uniting France under a Catholic king (Henri IV).
